Alphonso Mango
Origin: Alphonso mango originated in the Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra, India. It is primarily grown in the Konkan region of Maharashtra, as well as in the states of Gujarat, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu.
Appearance: Alphonso mangoes are generally small to medium-sized, with an oval shape and a distinct yellowish-orange skin when ripe. The flesh is smooth and fiberless, with a vibrant golden color.
Season: Alphonso mangoes are typically in season from March to June, with the peak harvest occurring in April and May. They have a relatively short season, adding to their exclusivity and desirability.
